He progressed from an entry-level editorial position to become Editor-in-Chief and Associate Publisher of Beverage World magazine. In 1983, Lederer made the unheard-of transition from an editor of a beverage publication to Brand Manager at Royal Crown Cola Company (Rolling Meadows, IL). He joined the NutraSweet Company in 1985 where, in his managerial sales capacity, Lederer was responsible for over 40of the NutraSweet brand’s annual volume.
