If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving you may have thought about what sides you’re having with your Turkey, or if you’re tuning in for the parades. However, before getting to the good stuff, there is the task (for some) of travelling.
To gain insight into Thanksgiving plans this year, we ran a study across 3,000 US respondents (with a 50:50 split male v female) asking four questions:
- Who will you spend this year’s Thanksgiving with?
- How far will you travel to spend this year’s Thanksgiving with your family or friends?
- How will you travel to spend this year’s Thanksgiving with your family or friends?
- How much will you spend on travelling to spend this year’s Thanksgiving with your family or friends?
To find out what percentage of respondents are travelling by car compared to a plane, or the difference between male and female spending this year, take a look at our white paper!
When we asked How far will you travel to spend this year’s Thanksgiving with your family or friends’’, over half of respondents answered that they will either not be travelling at all or that they will be travelling less than 10 miles.
Whilst the minority of our respondents specified they will not be celebrating Thanksgiving this year, below shows the findings after asking ‘Who will you be spending this year’s Thanksgiving with?’
